I’m someone who believes the most meaningful life is one spent serving others. That conviction runs through everything I do \u2014 the way I show up for family, the work I do in my church, the projects I build, and yes, even the reason I started this website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was raised in a Haitian household where faith, perseverance, and community weren’t just values \u2014 they were the way we lived. Those roots are still with me. They remind me that what we leave behind matters more than what we accumulate, and that the quiet, everyday moments are often the ones that mean the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By nature, I’m a builder. I love taking an idea and turning it into something real \u2014 something that actually helps people. Harvest Edge Living is one of those things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What this site is really about<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Harvest Edge Living exists to help people create homes that feel peaceful, beautiful, and welcoming \u2014 one thoughtful change at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s different from decorating. Decorating is the tool. Peace, comfort, hospitality, and intentional living are the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t think of home as something to show off. I think of it as a place where people gather. The best homes aren’t the ones that impress people when they walk in \u2014 they’re the ones that make people feel comfortable enough to stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My faith has taught me that home is more than a place we live. It’s where we welcome others, care for our families, find rest, and create memories that last far longer than the furniture we own. That belief shapes every article, recommendation, and idea I share here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How I got here<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For most of my life, home was just where I lived. Function over form. I was busy \u2014 work, family, ministry, caring for people \u2014 and I didn’t spend much time thinking about what a room looked like or how it made me feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That changed slowly, and then all at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After facing some health challenges and seasons of real uncertainty, I found myself thinking differently about space. About rest. About what it means to come home at the end of a hard day and actually feel the tension leave your shoulders the moment you walk through the door. I realized that our homes either add to our stress or help us recover from it \u2014 and that the difference between the two has very little to do with money or square footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has everything to do with intention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started paying attention. I started making small changes. A better lamp. A tray on the coffee table. A corner that finally felt calm. And something shifted \u2014 not just in the room, but in how I felt moving through my own life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to share that. That’s the honest reason Harvest Edge Living exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who I’m writing for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I sit down to write, I’m thinking about someone specific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not a designer. Not someone with a perfect home or an unlimited budget. I’m thinking about someone who comes home after a long day and wants their space to feel like relief instead of more stress. Someone who has a Pinterest board full of rooms they love but isn’t sure how to get there. Someone who is decorating their first apartment, refreshing a room that has started to feel tired, or just looking for one small change that makes things feel more like them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that’s you \u2014 this was built for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here’s what I want you to know before you read a single article: you don’t have to start over. You don’t need a designer. You don’t need a huge budget. You just need a place to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not here to overwhelm you with trends or pressure you to spend more than you should. I’m here to give you honest ideas, real recommendations, and the kind of practical guidance that makes you feel like you can actually do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I hope you leave with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every time someone visits Harvest Edge Living, I hope they leave feeling encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope they leave thinking \u2014 I can do this. I can make my home feel more like me.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it starts with a coffee table. A candle. A small corner that finally feels peaceful. Those things may seem small, but they have a way of changing how a room feels \u2014 and sometimes, how we feel when we walk into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A beautiful home doesn’t have to be perfect or expensive. It just has to be intentional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s what I believe. That’s what I’m building here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
